Lady A's Charles Kelley Diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma

Charles Kelley, a member of the country music trio Lady A, revealed on Instagram that he has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare blood cancer. Kelley shared the news in a video, explaining that doctors discovered the disease after he experienced several unexplained rib fractures.

Kelley stated that he intends to approach his diagnosis in a similar spirit to his sobriety journey, focusing on taking things "one day at a time." He expressed his belief that the treatment will not be overly invasive and that he will be able to continue working and performing.

"I believe it's not going to be too super invasive. I can still work," Kelley said in the video. "I think, physically, I will feel like myself. I'll have tough days, but you know, I want to keep working." He added that performing and spending time with loved ones will remain a priority.

Kelley previously paused Lady A's 2022 tour to focus on his sobriety, crediting his wife and bandmates for their support during that time. He is determined to face this new health challenge head-on, stating, "It's just another hurdle, and I'm pretty confident that we're going to get through it."
