Kylie Jenner is slated to make her first significant acting appearance in the upcoming thriller drama series, currently working under the title "Bachelorette Weekend." The reality television personality and businesswoman will also serve as an executive producer on the project. Reports indicate that the series is in the final stages of securing a straight-to-series order from Hulu.
Jenner's role in the series is described as the central focus, piecing together the events leading up to a murder. The plot revolves around a bachelorette weekend that takes a deadly turn when the bride, portrayed by Jenner, is found murdered in a swimming pool, with her closest friends becoming the primary suspects.
The series is based on an unpublished book by Flora Collins and was developed by author and screenwriter Lauren Oliver. Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment is producing the project.
Kim Kardashian, Jenner's older sister, is also executive producing "Bachelorette Weekend." According to reports, Kardashian was instrumental in bringing Jenner onto the project, believing her younger sister would be a perfect fit for the lead role.
This marks Jenner's most substantial acting role to date. Earlier this year, she made her film acting debut in Charli XCX's mockumentary film, "The Moment." In that A24 production, Jenner played a satirical, exaggerated version of herself in a brief scene with the musician. Jenner, 29, has also been featured in "The Kardashians" reality series.
Kim Kardashian has an established presence in acting and producing. She stars in and executive produces the Hulu legal drama "All's Fair." Additionally, she has several upcoming projects with Netflix, including the film "The Fifth Wheel" and the YA drama series "Calabasas." Her notable scripted acting role was in the 2024 season of "American Horror Story: Delicate," where she played publicist Siobhan Corbyn alongside Emma Roberts. Kardashian's acting career began with a role in the 2008 film "Disaster Movie."
