Kylie Jenner Reportedly Pressuring Timothée Chalamet for Engagement
The reality star is reportedly ready for marriage, while the actor is said to be hesitant.
Kylie Jenner is reportedly ready to take her relationship with Timothée Chalamet to the next level, with sources suggesting she is putting pressure on the actor to propose. However, Chalamet is reportedly not yet ready for marriage.
According to a source speaking exclusively to Page Six, Jenner, 29, has made her desire for marriage clear to Chalamet, her boyfriend of approximately three years. "She’s not giving him ultimatums or demanding a ring, but she’s definitely making her feelings known and hoping he’ll get there sooner rather than later," the insider said. "It’s putting some pressure on Timothée to take that next step."
The source added that while Chalamet, 30, is invested in the relationship, he is not yet at the point of proposing. "There’s a feeling that if he were to propose anytime soon, it would be more because of the pressure he’s feeling rather than because he’s genuinely ready."
This apparent difference in timelines comes as Jenner observes her older sister Kendall Jenner's relationship with actor Jacob Elordi becoming increasingly serious. Page Six previously reported that Jenner is experiencing "some jealousy and frustration" over the possibility of Kendall, who has been with Elordi for a shorter period, getting engaged before her.
Insiders believe Kendall and Elordi could potentially marry first, with the source stating that the "Euphoria" star is "completely all in with Kendall," while Kylie and Chalamet maintain a "more fun and carefree dynamic."
Despite the current perceived hesitation from Chalamet, he has publicly addressed marriage plans in the past. In February, during a promotional event in London for his film "Marty Supreme," Chalamet responded enthusiastically when asked about his future marriage plans, stating, "Yes. Yes."
Rumors of Jenner and Chalamet's relationship first surfaced in April 2023.
