Kylie Jenner Praised for Encouraging Daughter Stormi to Embrace Natural Hair

Kylie Jenner is receiving praise from fans for her approach to her 8-year-old daughter Stormi's hair. In a recent YouTube video documenting a Halloween cookie-baking session with Stormi and her 4-year-old son Aire, Jenner shared her preference for Stormi to embrace her natural curls.

"Stormi has been talking about, she really wants to straighten her hair, and I’m kind of not into the idea," Jenner, 29, stated in the video. She mentioned that she would permit straightening for Halloween and for Stormi's birthday, to which the daughter added, "You said!"

The reality star's sentiment resonated with viewers, who took to the comments section of the YouTube video to express their approval. "I love that you want to protect Stormi’s curls, keep it up xx," one user wrote. Another commented, "I love that Kylie is trying raise stromi (sic) to embrace her curls." A third viewer added, "The way she embraces her daughters beautiful natural curly hair and encourages her to wear it it curly is so beautiful."

While Jenner appears to favor Stormi's natural hair texture for everyday wear, she has previously allowed her daughter to experiment with different styles, including her extensive wig collection. In June, Jenner posted images of Stormi wearing a long, pink wig while using a tablet, humorously noting her daughter had "gotten into her wig closet."

Jenner herself was known for her bold wig choices during her "King Kylie" era in the mid-2010s. In 2019, she expressed her enjoyment in styling Stormi's hair, captioning an Instagram Story video of herself brushing her daughter's curls, "I love doing her hair. I’m not the best, but I love learning." She also shared that "some of my favorite memories are of my mom doing my hair."
