Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray entered concussion protocol after suffering an injury during the team's Week 1 matchup against the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium. Head coach Kevin O’Connell provided an update Monday, stating that Murray was feeling "pretty good" and had rejoined his teammates for meetings.

Murray's start to his Vikings career was cut short on Sunday after he sustained a concussion on the Vikings' third offensive possession. He was hit by two Packers players following a run and slide.

Despite entering protocol, Murray's participation in team meetings offers a positive sign for his potential return. O'Connell indicated that the team would proceed "a day at a time" as medical staff monitor Murray's progress through the concussion protocol.

Murray's availability for Week 2 against the Chicago Bears remains uncertain. Before exiting the game, he completed 3 of 5 passes for 18 yards and threw an interception. He also ran the ball once for a minimal gain. On the opening snap of the game, Murray threw a jump ball into coverage after the Packers blitzed, resulting in an interception.

Following Murray's departure, veteran quarterback Carson Wentz took over for the Vikings. Wentz completed 12 of 19 passes for 133 yards and three touchdowns, helping lead Minnesota to a 39-22 victory over the Packers.

If Murray is unable to clear concussion protocol in time for the upcoming game, Wentz is expected to start, with rookie J.J. McCarthy serving as his backup.
