Kyle Chrisley, 35, the older brother of reality television personality Savannah Chrisley, has pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. The plea stems from a December 2025 incident in which he was accused of assaulting a police officer.

During a September hearing, Kyle Chrisley entered his guilty plea to the resisting arrest charge. In the same court session, several other charges he had been indicted on, including disorderly conduct, public intoxication, retaliation for past action, and assault on law enforcement, were dismissed.

Authorities reported that on December 20, 2025, Kyle Chrisley was taken into custody and transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. According to an arrest report, law enforcement encountered Kyle's wife behaving in a "belligerent" manner while he was walking in the middle of a road. When deputies attempted to speak with Kyle, he reportedly became "immediately aggressive," charging at them and throwing punches, which resulted in injuries to three officers.

An indictment in the case stated that Kyle Chrisley was accused of unlawfully assaulting a law enforcement official by striking the officer with his hand or fist. The indictment also alleged that Kyle vowed to kill the officer and used force to resist being taken into custody. Officials noted that Kyle appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance during the incident.

Kyle Chrisley has a prior legal history, including an arrest in March 2023 following a dispute with a co-worker. This recent plea follows news that his younger sister, Savannah Chrisley, is expecting her first child with fiancé Jason Galanis. Galanis previously pleaded guilty in 2020 to orchestrating financial fraud operations that targeted investors for millions.

In March 2025, then-President Donald Trump commuted Galanis's sentence. Months later, Trump issued pardons to Todd and Julie Chrisley, parents of Kyle and Savannah, for their 2022 convictions on bank fraud and tax evasion charges. Prosecutors had stated that Todd and Julie Chrisley had fraudulently obtained millions in bank loans and concealed income to evade taxes. Todd Chrisley and Galanis had reportedly served time at the same Florida facility in 2023. Trump later commented that the Chrisleys had received "harsh treatment." Savannah Chrisley, who endorsed Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention, stated that Trump officials had recognized the "corruption" in her parents' case.
