Kyle Chrisley, brother of Savannah Chrisley, has pleaded guilty to one count of resisting arrest, months after an alleged aggressive encounter with law enforcement. Court records indicate Chrisley entered his plea at a hearing last month.

On the same day as his guilty plea, eight other charges against the 35-year-old were dismissed. These charges included public intoxication, three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and three counts of retaliation for past action.

Last December, Chrisley was arrested after his wife, Ashleigh Nelson, reported that he was behaving belligerently and walking in the middle of a two-lane street while she followed him in her car. According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, when deputies attempted to speak with Chrisley, he became aggressive, charged at them, and began to assault them. Following a physical altercation and the deployment of OC spray, Chrisley was taken into custody.

Nelson stated in an affidavit that Chrisley was making suicidal and homicidal threats and punched three officers. She also reported that he told the officers he would kill them.

This is not the first time Chrisley has had legal troubles. In May 2019, he was arrested on drug possession charges in Oklahoma. At that time, a warrant was also out for his arrest related to alleged death threats made to his former partner earlier that year, though those charges were later dropped in March 2023.

In March 2023, Chrisley was also detained for aggravated assault after allegedly brandishing a knife during an altercation with his boss. Issues with substance abuse in the past led his parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, to adopt his daughter Chloe in 2016.
