Samantha Busch, wife of the late NASCAR star Kyle Busch, has revealed the daily question their 4-year-old daughter, Lennix, asks about her father since his passing on May 21. Lennix speaks to framed photos of her dad each morning during breakfast.

"She wakes up every day, tells him how her sleep was, what she’s doing today and asks if he’s having fun in heaven," Samantha wrote on her Instagram Story, accompanying a photo of Lennix eating in front of the pictures.

Kyle Busch died at 41 after pneumonia progressed to sepsis, leading to rapid and overwhelming complications, his family stated. The couple also share an 11-year-old son, Brexton.

Samantha, a podcast host and author, has been open about navigating grief and motherhood. In a recent Instagram post, she described the profound loss of her husband.

"I lost the love of my life, my person, and my best friend. The man I built a life with and the person I thought I would grow old with," she wrote. "But I’m still Mom. Grief doesn’t stop parenting. The morning still comes. There are questions to answer, tears to wipe away, races to get to, bedtime stories to read, and two kids trying to make sense of a loss that no child should ever have to face."

She also addressed how she maintains composure, stating, "The truth is, I don’t feel strong most days. I miss Kyle every second of every day. I want to curl up in a ball and cry. But I’m a mom. Brexton and Lennix still need hugs, comfort, laughter, routines, and someone to help carry their hurting hearts while mine is shattered."

The couple married on December 21, 2010. The two-time Cup Series champion had been hospitalized after becoming unresponsive while testing in a Chevrolet racing simulator in Concord, North Carolina. He was transported to a hospital in Charlotte.

Busch amassed a record 234 wins across NASCAR's three national series. His family, Richard Childress Racing, and NASCAR confirmed his death in a joint statement following his hospitalization for what was described as a serious illness.
