Josh Kushner and his wife, Karlie Kloss, have significantly expanded their presence in the sports world following the $12.5 billion sale of the Los Angeles Lakers. The transaction, which saw Mark Walter sell the team to Kushner and Bob Iger, has drawn considerable attention, occurring just 14 months after Walter's initial $10 billion majority stake purchase.

Kushner, 41, is now a co-owner of one of the NBA's most storied franchises. Meanwhile, Kloss, 33, has already established herself as a minority owner of the New York Liberty, a professional women's basketball team. She acquired a limited partnership stake last season, following the Liberty's 2024 WNBA championship. The sale, reportedly valued at $450 million, set a record for a women's professional sports franchise and was finalized with team owners Joe and Clara Wu Tsai.

Kloss has also been active in other ventures, including producing films on reproductive justice. She recently shared her involvement in "In Bloom: Everybody's Fight" on social media, emphasizing the importance of taking action and voting.

The couple, who have been together since 2012 and have three children, have also been visible in celebrity circles. They attended the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in July 2026. Kushner, the younger brother of Jared Kushner and brother-in-law to Ivanka Trump, and Kloss, a former best friend of Swift's, have navigated complex social dynamics, including Kloss's past association with Scooter Braun, who acquired Swift's early music catalog. Braun was also a guest at Kloss and Kushner's 2018 wedding.
