KTLA Anchor Reveals Extensive Plastic Surgery Makeover

KTLA reporter Gayle Anderson, 64, has publicly shared that she underwent a series of nine plastic surgeries in August, aiming to regain a more youthful appearance. The procedures included a face and neck lift, brow lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, a skin pinch, lip lift, chin implant replacement, and fat transfer.

Anderson discussed her decision on-air Wednesday during a segment featuring her surgeon, Dr. Carl Truesdale. "The Gayle I see now, when I look in the mirror... is the Gayle from New Jersey who flew out here on a plane," Anderson stated, referring to her younger self before starting her career at KTLA over 30 years ago.

She cited insecurities, particularly concerning her neck, as a primary motivator for the surgeries. Anderson noted that the rise of selfies exacerbated these feelings, and that after a former photographer retired, shots of her began showing "a lot of shadows" in that area. This led her to seek cosmetic intervention.

After a Botox appointment, a nurse directed her to Dr. Truesdale. Anderson recalled being impressed by before-and-after photos of his work. She shared that the doctor assured her he could "take 30 years off." Anderson returned to work just two weeks after the Aug. 11 procedures, on Aug. 25, and expressed satisfaction with the results.

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin from the eyelids.
