Kristin Cavallari is standing by her assertion that she received no financial support from her ex-husband, former NFL player Jay Cutler, following their 2022 divorce. Cavallari stated on the "Aspire with Emma Grede" podcast that she paid Cutler half the value of her business, Uncommon James, in cash and properties.

"I don’t get any money from my ex-husband," Cavallari said on the podcast, a claim she also made in June. "I had to give him half the value of [her business] Uncommon James in cash and properties and everything else."

Cavallari, who stated she self-funded Uncommon James, suggested the business's success provided her with the confidence to end her marriage. She described her initial reaction as anger but now expresses gratitude, believing these challenges ultimately made her stronger.

Cutler previously disputed Cavallari's claims in August on his "Take it Outside" podcast, calling them "completely false." He argued that it would be legally improbable in Tennessee for a judge to award one party zero financial settlement after a seven-year marriage with three children, especially with both individuals represented by legal counsel.

"There’s not a judge in the state of Tennessee that would have signed that," Cutler stated at the time. "They would be like, ‘No, this isn’t – this isn’t right. This isn’t legal. Not happening.'"

Cavallari also addressed custody arrangements, stating that she and Cutler no longer maintain a 50-50 custody agreement for their three children: Camden, 13, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9. Cavallari previously told People magazine that she has primary custody.

"I have chosen to be the best mom that I could be and be a good business owner and that’s the trade-off," Cavallari said on the "Aspire with Emma Grede" podcast. "I would love to tell you Uncommon James is a $100 million company and it’s not. But I am the best mom and my kids will tell you that also."

She described their current relationship as primarily a co-parenting dynamic.

Cavallari and Cutler, who met in 2011 and were married for nearly seven years, announced their separation in April 2020. Their divorce was finalized in June 2022.
