Reality television personality Kristin Cavallari has revealed her practice of having her children fly in coach class while she occupies a first-class seat, a decision she views as integral to their development.

Cavallari, 39, shared her reasoning on a recent episode of the podcast “Aspire with Emma Grede,” emphasizing that this approach instills important life lessons in her three children: Camden, 13, Jaxon, 12, and Saylor, 10. She stated that these small actions make a significant difference in the long run, helping them understand that they do not simply receive everything they desire.

"I want them to know, ‘This is not your money. This is my money,'" Cavallari explained, expressing a heightened awareness of her children growing up in fortunate circumstances. She believes that if they want something, they must work for it.

Cavallari, who shares co-parenting responsibilities with her ex-husband Jay Cutler, mentioned that separating from her children during flights is not difficult, especially now that they are older. She humorously recounted telling them, "Bye guys, have fun back there."

To further illustrate her parenting philosophy, Cavallari shared an example from the previous summer when her sons started their own small businesses. One son washed windows for people, while the other washed garbage cans. She reiterated that her children need to work to achieve their goals.

This disclosure follows a similar instance involving Jessica Simpson, who drew attention months prior for sitting in first class on a flight to Hawaii while her estranged husband, Eric Johnson, and their children were seated in economy. Simpson had previously attributed the seating arrangement to her mother, who she said purchased the tickets as a treat.
