Kristian Alfonso, who captivated audiences for decades as Hope Williams on the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives," recently shared a striking photograph on Instagram, drawing attention at the age of 62. The Emmy-nominated actress has maintained a significant presence in television and modeling since the early 1980s.

Alfonso posted a radiant selfie on Monday, showcasing her style while seated at an outdoor restaurant table. She was pictured wearing a white dress with floral embroidery, a fashionable hat, and minimalist jewelry. In the caption, she expressed optimism for the week ahead, adding a blue heart and dancing emoji, and tagged the Italian brand Borsalino, hinting at a possible trip abroad.

Born in Massachusetts in September 1963, Alfonso's early life included a passion for ice skating. At 13, she earned a gold medal at the Junior Olympic Figure Skating Championships. However, an injury led her to quit both skating and dancing, paving the way for a career in modeling. By the age of 16, she had graced the covers of prominent magazines such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.

Her acting career began in 1981 with a role in the television film "The Star Maker." Two years later, Alfonso joined "Days of Our Lives," portraying Hope Williams, a role for which she would become widely recognized. She has reflected on her early days on the show, telling Glamour, "If I could go back as a young girl walking into Days in 1983, I would tell myself, 'Thank you for taking the risk. You're about to go on an incredible journey. It's one you will always be eternally grateful for.'"

Alfonso's tenure on "Days of Our Lives" spanned several periods. She initially appeared from 1983 to 1988, returning in 1990, then again from 1994 until her departure in 2020. She reprised her role in the spin-off "Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem" in 2022 and returned to the main series in 2023, with appearances in 2024 and 2025.

Addressing past comments about her potential return, Alfonso clarified to Soap Opera Digest in 2023, "I have seen online where viewers have stated that I said, 'Never' regarding [returning someday] – I never said never. I said that I will not be popping in and out like other actors have done in the past. I didn't say I'm never, ever coming back. I was not absolute."

Beyond her iconic role on "Days of Our Lives," Alfonso has appeared in a variety of other television series, including "Murder, She Wrote," "Who's The Boss," "Full House," "Falcon's Crest" (1988-1990), "Baywatch" (1993), "Melrose Place" (1993-1994), and an episode of "Friends" in 2000.

Alfonso was married to Simon Macauley, with whom she has a son. After their divorce, she married Danny Daggenhurst in 2001. They have one son together, and Alfonso also became a stepmother to Daggenhurst's other son.
