Krispy Kreme Revives Beloved Chocolate Glazed Donut for Limited Fall Run
The company also unveils its Halloween-themed Trick or Treat! Collection and a Looney Tunes collaboration.
Krispy Kreme is bringing back its highly sought-after Original Chocolate Glazed doughnut for a limited three-day engagement from October 20 to October 22. This return coincides with the launch of the company's new Halloween-themed Trick or Treat! Collection and a special Looney Tunes collaboration.
The Original Chocolate Glazed doughnut, a fan favorite, typically makes only brief appearances throughout the year. Its availability is restricted to a three-day period for this special fall offering.
The Trick or Treat! Collection, introduced on October 16, features four new Halloween-inspired designs. These include the Candy Bag Doughnut, inspired by a trick-or-treater's candy haul, with chocolate buttercream and a mix of M&M'S and chopped chocolate bars. The Cookies and Skreme House Doughnut is filled with Cookies & Kreme™ and topped with chocolate cookie pieces. Additionally, the lineup includes a Jack-O-Lantern Doughnut decorated with orange pumpkin icing and a Spooky Sprinkle Doughnut with bright green icing and festive sprinkles.
This year's Halloween offerings also include a partnership with Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes. This collection features character-inspired pastries such as the Bugs Bunny Doughnut, filled with chocolate dulce Kreme and topped with an edible Bugs Bunny Vampire piece. The Tweety and Sylvester Doughnut has candy corn-flavored icing and a sugar piece of the characters in a pumpkin. The Taz Doughnut is Oreo-flavored with a Taz Mummy sugar piece, and the Lola Bunny Doughnut is glazed with purple buttercream and topped with a sugar piece of the character.
Additional promotional offers are available for customers. From October 17-19 and again from October 24-26, customers can purchase a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for $2 with the purchase of any regular-priced dozen. Furthermore, customers who wear a costume into Krispy Kreme on October 30 or Halloween will receive a free Original Glazed or Classic Ring doughnut without any purchase necessary.
