Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, the mother of television personality Kris Jenner, has died at the age of 91. Jenner shared the news of her mother's passing on Thursday via Instagram.
"Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ," Jenner, 70, wrote in a tribute. "There are no words that could ever capture what she has meant to me or the heartbreak of having to say goodbye." Jenner described Campbell as the "heart of [their] family."
Campbell's teachings, as recounted by Jenner, emphasized the importance of family, kindness, showing up for loved ones, and cherishing moments. Jenner stated that her mother taught them to love unconditionally and find joy in small things, and to face life's challenges with resilience and faith.
In a personal letter to her late mother, Jenner expressed gratitude for Campbell's sacrifices, wisdom, and complete love. "I will miss our daily talks, your smile, your laughter," Jenner wrote, vowing that Campbell's love would continue to live on within the family's traditions. "When I look at my kids and my grandkids, I will forever see pieces of you in all of us," Jenner added. "There is not a part of me that isn’t shaped by you. And if I have done anything right in this world, it’s because I spent my life trying to live in a way that would make you proud."
Jenner concluded her tribute by saying, "My heart is broken into a million pieces … thank you for giving me the greatest childhood and oh what a beautiful blessed life … I love you forever Mommy. Thank you for giving us everything."
Kylie Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian acknowledged Jenner's post with likes. As of Thursday, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner had not publicly shared their own statements regarding their grandmother's death. This is a developing story.
