Kourtney Kardashian Recalls Kanye West's Dating Advice
The reality star shared the advice she received from West before her relationship with Travis Barker.
Kourtney Kardashian has shared that Kanye West once advised her to wait for marriage before engaging in sexual activity, a piece of advice she recalled during a recent episode of "The Kardashians." Kardashian recounted this during a conversation with her stepson, Landon Barker, where she urged him to "wait until you get married" and avoid "wasting your energy."
During the episode, a producer questioned Kardashian about whether she and her now-husband, Travis Barker, waited until their wedding to become intimate. Kardashian responded by recalling a conversation with West, who she said felt divinely inspired to tell her, "I feel like God is calling me to tell you that you should not hook up with any randoms until you are with your husband." Kardashian added that she adhered to this advice.
Kardashian and Barker began dating in early 2021. They were married in 2022 and welcomed their son, Rocky, the following year. Kardashian also has three children with her ex-partner Scott Disick: Mason, Penelope, and Reign. Barker has two children, Landon and Alabama, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
Barker recently spoke about his relationship with Kardashian on "The Magnificent Others" podcast, describing their connection as a "perfect symmetry" and noting that their mutual desire for the relationship to succeed led them to fall "madly in love."
Kanye West was married to Kardashian's sister, Kim Kardashian, for eight years, and they share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021, citing irreconcilable differences.
