Kourtney Kardashian Reacts to Jennifer Lawrence Calling Her 'Annoying'
The reality star admitted she wanted to 'slap the s—t out of' the actress after Lawrence's comments resurfaced on their Hulu show.
Kourtney Kardashian responded to Jennifer Lawrence calling her "annoying" on the latest episode of "The Kardashians," which premiered Thursday on Hulu. Kardashian stated that she wanted to "slap the s—t out of" Lawrence after the actress's comments, made during a lie detector test with Vanity Fair in November 2025, were shown on the reality series.
"Well, my mom [Kris Jenner] wrote something, like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone, I talked to them last night, they’re the best,’ and I go, ‘F—k that bitch Jennifer Lawrence,'" Kardashian told pal Simon Huck during the episode. She added, "I said to my mom, ‘OK, [Lawrence] thinks she’s one of my sisters? I’ll f—king slap the s—t out of her.’ I was like, ‘Invite her over and we can … I’ll go for it like she’s my sister.'"
Kardashian explained that Lawrence later reached out to apologize after learning her comments had offended the Poosh founder. Lawrence reportedly sent Kardashian an email, stating, “I just feel like I’m one of your sisters.”
Upon rewatching Lawrence's original comments, Kardashian admitted they weren't "that bad." However, she felt sensitive at the time because the show was airing and she perceived that "everybody was ganging up on" her.
Kardashian considered how to respond to Lawrence's apology, playfully suggesting to Huck, “Do I say something funny? Like, ‘You can come over and I’ll beat your f—king ass?'" She ultimately decided to respond in a way that mirrored the dynamic of her famous family. "I’ll just say, ‘Next time you wanna come over, we can go at it — Kourtney and Kim style,'" she said, referencing an infamous fight between her and her sister Kim Kardashian that aired on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
Last year, Lawrence had described Kardashian as "more annoying than ever" and said, "She drives me nuts." At the time, the "Hunger Games" star explained that Kardashian's tendency to make announcements about her life choices, such as not wearing certain outfits or not having a TV in her room, was bothersome.
In January, Lawrence reflected on her comments, admitting on Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast that she might have overstated her criticism. "I think that when I do press, I should do half [of] what normal people do," she stated. "Because I see my quotes and they’re insane. Like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence calls Kourtney Kardashian annoying.’ It’s just too… you know? It carries."
New episodes of "The Kardashians" are released Thursdays on Hulu.
