The period following the New York Knicks' 2026 NBA Championship has been a "chaotic mix of personal and professional time" for stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, as they navigate a surge of opportunities stemming from their title run.

Their weekly podcast, "The Roommates Show," co-hosted with Josh Hart's best friend and business partner Matt Hillman, is expanding. The third edition of their live podcast event, "The Roommates Show Block Party Presented by DoorDash," will move from Central Park to Randall's Island Park on Sept. 26 due to overwhelming demand. More than 4,000 tickets for the event sold out in 90 seconds, with an estimated 8,000 fans remaining on a waitlist, potentially making it the largest live podcast event to date.

The live show is set to feature guests including Jose Alvarado, Mariska Hargitay, Jimmy Fallon, Spike Lee, and Landry Shamet, along with musical performances by Fabolous, Jim Jones, Maino, and Dave East. "I think it’ll be a great opportunity to celebrate with the fans and also celebrate the fans themselves," Brunson stated. "They showed up for us, so I’m just excited to show up for them in a fun and different environment."

The "Roommates Show," which launched in February 2024, is entering its fourth season. Hart reflected on the podcast's organic growth: "We kind of started [the podcast] and didn’t really know what the trajectory was going to be. We didn’t have like a goal in mind. We were just like, ‘You know, let’s start it and just to see if anything comes of it.'"

During the live show, the duo plans to discuss significant NBA offseason moves, including the departure of Mitchell Robinson, who signed with the Boston Celtics after eight seasons with the Knicks, and other developments around the Eastern Conference. Tickets for "The Roommates Show Block Party presented by DoorDash" went on sale on Aug. 21.

Hillman described the post-championship period as more intense than he anticipated. "From my perspective… the one thing that caught me by surprise is you never really hear about what happens after the win — you could just kind of think it’s all celebrations and fun," he said. He noted that the players were engaged in a whirlwind of media appearances, brand deals, and team celebrations for weeks following the championship win on June 13. "They were just running a million miles an hour for two weeks. And obviously, I was kind of there with him for a lot of it and it was just 24-7. It was brand deals and parades and just integrations into the schedule, it was a lot."

Hart has also been balancing new off-court opportunities with family time and continued championship celebrations. The team celebrated at Chez Margaux, a private supper club, after their ticker-tape parade on June 18. Hart and his wife, Shannon, also took time for personal trips, including vacations in France and Italy, before attending the weddings of NBA players Donovan Mitchell and Karl-Anthony Towns.

Hart is looking forward to some downtime with his wife and their twin sons before beginning his tenth NBA season. "August is kind of my time to just work out and get away from the stuff," he said.

Beyond the court, Shannon Hart has also seen professional growth, recently signing with Digital Brand Architects for representation. In 2026, she partnered with several brands, and a new major project is anticipated soon. Hart has also been involved in brand commitments during the summer.
