George Kittle and Robert Tonyan Jr. surprised Travis Kelce during his wedding to Taylor Swift by changing into custom tuxedos inspired by the movie "Dumb and Dumber." The surprise occurred midway through the wedding ceremony held at Madison Square Garden.

Kittle, a tight end for the San Francisco 49ers, and Tonyan Jr., a former Kansas City Chiefs player, initially wore suits designed by Mitch Purgason. Kittle's suit was navy striped, while Tonyan Jr.'s was emerald green. However, they had secretly commissioned Purgason to create two additional outfits based on Kelce's favorite film.

The idea to incorporate "Dumb and Dumber" came about just five days before the wedding. Purgason crafted the "Dumb and Dumber"-inspired tuxedos, complete with ruffled shirts, within a tight timeframe. The duo managed to sneak the custom outfits into the venue in a black duffle bag.

According to Purgason, the final looks were completed only 45 minutes before the wedding. A last-minute challenge arose when Purgason could not locate dress shoes for Kittle. He ultimately opted for sneakers, and in a dramatic turn, Purgason ran 15 blocks in hot weather to deliver Kittle's shoes to his hotel after encountering road closures.

Kittle later posted a picture on Instagram showing the duffle bag and the completed outfits. The article notes that "Dumb and Dumber" holds significance in Kelce's relationship with Swift, as he previously cited inspiration from Jim Carrey's tap-dancing scene in the film for his surprise appearance on Swift's Eras Tour stage.
