Kit Harington Steps in to Support Wife Rose Leslie's Family Estate

Actor Kit Harington has intervened to provide financial assistance to his wife Rose Leslie's family estate, Wardhill Castle, which has been facing liquidation.
Documents filed at Companies House reveal that Harington has provided a loan to help the company behind the Aberdeenshire estate settle its debts and seek a pause in the liquidation proceedings. The move aims to give the family time to secure the future of the property.
Wardhill Castle, an 801-acre estate, has been in the Leslie family for over 500 years and currently operates as a wedding and holiday venue. It was the location for Harington and Leslie's wedding in June 2018. The property has reportedly been costly to maintain.
This financial challenge comes as the Leslie family has faced property difficulties before. In 2018, Rose Leslie's father, Sebastian, reportedly lost possession of another family castle, Lickleyhead, also in Aberdeenshire, due to missed mortgage payments. Lickleyhead is currently on the market for offers over £1.15 million.
Harington and representatives for the Leslie family declined to comment.
