NFL commentator and ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit has revealed a personal tactic he and his wife used in an effort to conceive sons. Herbstreit, who has four sons with his wife Alison, discussed the method on the "Bussin' with the Boys" podcast.

Herbstreit met his wife at Ohio State University, where he played football and she was a cheerleader and gymnast. The couple went on to have four boys: twins Jake and Tye, Zak, and Chase.

According to Herbstreit, his wife heard that male sperm were faster and would perform a handstand or headstand after intercourse. He stated that this method contributed to their success in having all four sons. "She would do a headstand or handstand, she would go up on the bed and we're four-for-four," Herbstreit said on the podcast.

Fellow podcast co-host and former NFL player Taylor Lewan shared a similar experience, noting that his wife, who was not a gymnast, had her legs held by him in an attempt to achieve a similar outcome for their son.

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, who has four daughters and has expressed openness to having a son, shared a clip of Herbstreit's comments on his X account, tagging his wife, Kylie. Kelce has previously stated that having a boy would be enjoyable for him. After revealing the technique, former Eagles star Jason Kelce seemed open to the idea Kirk Herbstreit revealed a post-sex tip that helped him and his wife conceive all boys
