King Charles III and Queen Camilla were welcomed by attendees as they arrived for the opening of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) flower show on the Sandringham Estate. The five-day event marks the first time the show has been held at the monarch's private estate in Norfolk.
King Charles, who became patron of the RHS in 2024, and Queen Camilla presented awards during the opening. Among the exhibits recognized was a display titled "The Queen Bee," which featured a bee made from upcycled containers, such as tin cans. Queen Camilla presented the Queen's Special Award for Upcycled Container Gardens to this exhibit, designed and created by Ingoldisthorpe Church of England Primary School, located near Sandringham.
The royal couple were seen engaging with exhibits and attendees. King Charles was observed pointing to a display that incorporated a toilet and sink planted with flowers. The event saw crowds gather to see the royal pair and the horticultural displays.
