Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has released a video compilation featuring President Donald Trump's public criticisms of him, framed as a campaign for Emmy Award voters.
The video, posted during the Emmy Awards voting period, showcases Trump's past comments and social media posts directed at Kimmel. These include verbal attacks and demands for ABC to remove Kimmel's show from the air.
Kimmel added the hashtag #FYC, an abbreviation for "for your consideration," to the compilation, a common tactic used during awards season.
Kimmel's show received six Emmy Award nominations, including for Outstanding Variety Series and Outstanding Writing For A Variety Series.
The release of the video comes as ABC is engaged in a legal dispute with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The FCC, under Trump-appointed chair Brendan Carr, has initiated an early review of the network's broadcast licenses.
ABC attorneys have characterized the FCC's actions as "blatant retaliation" for Kimmel and other ABC personalities speaking out against President Trump. Kimmel is scheduled to return to his show after Labor Day.
