Kimmel Speculates MAGA Hats Affect Trump Supporters' Thinking
The late-night host suggested a humorous reason for why Trump's backers might not be swayed by his rhetoric.
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has proposed a theory for why some of President Donald Trump's staunchest supporters remain loyal, suggesting that the MAGA hats they wear might be a factor.
During his show, Kimmel commented on Trump's dismissal of concerns surrounding artificial intelligence, which the president reportedly called a "hoax." Kimmel posited that even if those closest to Trump are trying to alert him to potential AI threats, he is not listening.
To illustrate his point, Kimmel humorously suggested that if Trump were told that ChatGPT was about to release sensitive files related to Jeffrey Epstein, a former associate of Trump, the former president might pay more attention to the technology.
Kimmel also touched on the ongoing conflict with Iran, referencing Trump's initial statements that the war would be brief. He contrasted this with Trump's recent claims that Iran is eager for a deal and is being "decimated."
"Oh?" Kimmel retorted. "How about now? Now would be a good time for a deal. Or maybe we should wait until gas goes up to $30 a gallon."
The host then posed a rhetorical question to Trump's supporters: "How is anyone still believing this? Is it possible that those red hats are too small and cutting off circulation to the brain?"
