Kimmel Mocks Trump's Nobel Prize Snub, Calls Him 'Petty Little Bitch'
The late-night host lampooned the former president's reaction to not receiving a Nobel Peace Prize.
Jimmy Kimmel, 58, used his Monday night monologue to mock former President Donald Trump's reaction to being passed over for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Kimmel played a clip of Trump at a recent rally, where the former president blamed "those people that made such a disgraceful and embarrassing decision" regarding the prize. The audience responded with boos, which Kimmel sarcastically acknowledged. "I know, I was upset they didn’t give it to him, too," he quipped.
The late-night host particularly targeted Trump's criticism of the Norwegian Nobel Committee's decision to award the prize to Navi Pillay, a former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. Kimmel characterized Trump's critique as an "indelible stain on the country of Norway," before adding, "Not as indelible as the stain you made on your diaper when they announced it!"
Further clips showed Trump asserting he had "the greatest record in history" and had ended "eight wars," claiming each should have earned him a Nobel Prize. Kimmel engaged in mock calculations, suggesting Trump should have 64 prizes based on his claims.
Kimmel also ridiculed a lengthy social media post by Trump attacking the committee and Pillay. "What better way to deserve a Nobel Prize than attacking the woman who won it at midnight in a social media post that is twice as long as the Gettysburg Address," Kimmel quipped. He also pointed out a perceived typo in Trump's post, questioning if his assistant, Natalie Harp, intentionally misspelled "Nobel."
Trump had previously expressed his belief that he was a frontrunner for the award, citing his role in ending eight conflicts. However, reports indicate that some of these conflicts had minimal fighting or were ongoing, such as the conflict in Gaza.
"You know, I’m not sure which is more alarming: The fact that Trump is upset he didn’t win the Nobel Prize or that he’s surprised he didn’t win one," Kimmel concluded.
