Kimberly Williams-Paisley, known for her roles in "Father of the Bride" and its sequel, was a guest at the recent wedding of pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce. The ceremony, which reportedly had 1,000 guests, took place at Madison Square Garden.
Williams-Paisley attended the event with her husband, country music singer Brad Paisley, who has a long-standing friendship with Swift. Ahead of the wedding, the couple was among a group of individuals and organizations who received a substantial donation from Swift and Kelce to their non-profit organization, The Store. The Store, located in Nashville, Tennessee, is a free-referral grocery store that addresses food insecurity.
"On the eve of the wedding of Tay and Trav, this is really an amazing thing to think about, the gift they gave The Store," Brad Paisley stated in a video posted by the couple. He added, "It will feed so many families, and what a way to start a marriage."
Williams-Paisley expressed her gratitude, saying, "We are so, so grateful for your donation. This is gonna go such a long way. Food insecurity is at a 10-year high in Nashville and the timing is just so critical." She concluded, "We're just really, really grateful for your generosity. And congratulations on your upcoming wedding."
Swift and Kelce reportedly donated $26 million to over 20 charities across the United States, with The Store being one of the beneficiaries. Other recipients of their generosity included City Harvest, New York Cares, Feeding America, and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which received a $2 million donation.
The wedding event itself was a large affair, with reports indicating that it necessitated street closures in New York City and involved a significant police presence. Williams-Paisley shared a glimpse of her attendance on social media, posting a video of herself in a floral print dress, with her sister Ashley Williams also featured in the background.
In recent discussions about her personal life, Williams-Paisley, who has been married to Brad Paisley for 23 years, shared her perspective on maintaining a long-term marriage. She cited Jamie Lee Curtis's advice of "Don't leave" as a key element, emphasizing the importance of perseverance through the ups and downs of a relationship. The couple, who have two sons, navigate busy careers by making deliberate efforts to spend time together during their downtime. They celebrated their most recent anniversary on March 3, with Williams-Paisley noting a particularly sweet surprise from her husband: a heartfelt letter.
