Kim Zolciak was seen driving her Range Rover in Alpharetta, Georgia, on Sunday, marking her first public appearance since the arrest of her 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Jagger Biermann Jr., on sexual assault charges. News of the arrest broke on Friday.

KJ was taken into custody in May, facing charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. According to court documents filed in Fulton County Juvenile Court, the alleged assault occurred on April 23 at a Life Time fitness center. The accuser, identified as a female classmate, claims KJ forced oral sex and digitally penetrated her vagina. The teen reportedly told his parents about the alleged attack the following day and was examined at North Fulton Hospital in Georgia.

Zolciak vehemently denied the accusations in a statement released Friday, calling the claims against her son “reckless and deeply troubling.” She stated that her son “categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.” Zolciak added that her son voluntarily took and passed a polygraph examination regarding the allegations, and that an examination found no DNA belonging to her son at the scene. She also claimed the alleged victim has made similar allegations against two other individuals and criticized the “devastating consequences” of “false accusations.”

“Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation,” Zolciak stated. “We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations.”
KJ’s lawyer, Jason Sheffield, also asserted his client's innocence, telling Page Six that KJ is “100 percent innocent.” Sheffield echoed Zolciak’s points about the polygraph test and prior allegations, describing the arrest and lack of bond as a “tragedy.”
“He is not only presumed innocent, but is, in fact, innocent,” Sheffield said. “I’m asking the public not to presume the truth of these allegations and to give the families on both sides their space and privacy.”
KJ is being held without bond and has a hearing scheduled for September 1. Zolciak’s estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, was also seen over the weekend picking up their 14-year-old son, Kash, from football practice. IMAGE3 IMAGE1
