Kim Zolciak's sons accused of firecracker, egg-throwing incidents amid son's sexual assault plea
Allegations surface against Kim Zolciak's sons involving firecrackers and eggs at an equestrian camp, occurring as one son pleads not guilty to sexual assault charges.
Kim Zolciak's sons have been accused of throwing firecrackers and eggs at an equestrian camp near their Alpharetta, Georgia, property in incidents reported late last year and earlier this year. These allegations emerge as one of Zolciak's teenage sons, KJ Biermann, recently entered a not guilty plea to aggravated child molestation and other sexual assault charges.
An unidentified individual reportedly called 911 late last year alleging a teenage male was on Zolciak's porch throwing explosive devices toward the horseback riding camp while screaming obscenities. A police report from the incident indicates that Kash Biermann, 14, and KJ Biermann, 15, were involved, though not explicitly named in the 911 call. Zolciak reportedly spoke with police at the time and stated she would review her cameras and address the issue with her sons.
Us Magazine reported that the complainant had previously attempted to contact a parent at the residence without success and that the brothers' alleged behavior was not isolated.
These accusations follow a separate report from July 2026, where authorities were called to The Equestrian Reserve, a horse ranch near Zolciak's home. A worker there informed Alpharetta police that she believed one of Zolciak's sons had fired a pellet gun from their family home toward the ranch in an effort to scare a horse. The worker stated that no person or animal appeared to have been struck, and she could not identify the individual who fired the pellet gun.
During the July incident, the worker also mentioned previous encounters with Zolciak's children, describing their behavior as 'verbally rude and uncooperative' after they were accused of launching fireworks from the home. Police visited Zolciak's residence, and one of the young males present, identifying himself as Zolciak's son, confirmed firing the pellet gun but denied aiming it at humans or horses. No arrests or charges were filed in connection with the pellet gun incident.
The news comes as KJ Biermann, 15, was released on a $200,000 bond following charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The alleged incident involving a female classmate reportedly occurred on April 23, 2026, at a Life Time fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia. KJ was indicted by a grand jury on seven felony charges.
Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy claimed in court that KJ had previously been charged with sexual battery of a minor in October 2025, a case that was adjudicated in juvenile court. KJ's attorney, Jason Sheffield, denied these characterizations, stating the prior matter involved crude behavior between two middle-schoolers and did not result in an adjudication for statutory rape or comparable offenses.
As part of his bond conditions, KJ is living with his mother, attending school virtually, and must abstain from social media and cellphone use. He is also subject to electronic monitoring and is barred from contact with his alleged victim and individuals under 16. Zolciak and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, 41, were present at KJ's bond hearing, presenting a united front amid their ongoing divorce proceedings.
Zolciak previously stated that her son categorically denied the allegations and had passed a polygraph examination. She added that DNA testing had not found her son's DNA, and expressed confidence that the truth would emerge through the proper legal process.
Earlier in October 2026, Zolciak's former co-star NeNe Leakes mentioned on the Big Tigger Morning Show that she had reached out to Zolciak to check on her well-being amid the difficult situation with her son.
