Kim Zolciak, star of "Real Housewives of Atlanta," has denied allegations against her 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, who faces two felony counts of aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy. The charges stem from an alleged incident in April, and Biermann was arrested on August 17 in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Under Georgia's SB440 law, individuals aged 13 to 17 accused of specific violent felonies can be tried as adults. Biermann is currently being held without bond at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center pending a preliminary hearing in September.
In a statement provided to Fox News Digital, Zolciak stated that the allegations are "reckless and deeply troubling" and that her son "categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged."
Zolciak also pointed to evidence she claims supports her son's innocence. According to the statement, Biermann voluntarily took and passed a polygraph examination related to the accusations. Additionally, examinations conducted reportedly found no DNA evidence belonging to her son. Zolciak also noted that the accuser has allegedly made similar claims involving two other individuals, raising concerns about the validity of the current allegations.
"False accusations can have devastating consequences not only for the person being accused, but also for genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse," Zolciak said. "Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation."
She added, "We are confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations."
KJ Biermann is the oldest son of Zolciak and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann. The former couple also has three other children: Kash, 14, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12. Biermann adopted Zolciak's two older daughters, Ariana and Brielle, from a previous relationship. Zolciak and Biermann, who were married for 11 years, each filed for divorce in 2023.
