Kim Zolciak-Biermann, an alumna of "Real Housewives of Atlanta," was observed dining in Palm Beach, Florida, days after her 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, was arrested on allegations of sexual assault. Zolciak-Biermann, 48, was photographed leaving an establishment on Wednesday with her 14-year-old son, Kash, and boyfriend Kyle Mowitz.
She wore a form-fitting black dress and strappy stiletto heels for the outing. Both Kash and Mowitz were also dressed in black. During the evening, Zolciak-Biermann was seen adjusting Kash’s collar and engaging in a phone conversation.
KJ Biermann was arrested last week on charges including alleged aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy. He was taken into custody the previous Monday and is being held without bond at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center. A hearing is scheduled for September 1.
According to court documents, a female classmate alleges that KJ assaulted her on April 23 in a gym changing area in Alpharetta, Georgia. The accuser claims that KJ forced himself on her despite her saying "no" and attempted to pull down her pants. The documents also state she accused the teen of digital penetration and forcing oral sex. The alleged victim, who identified herself as the "best friend" of KJ's girlfriend and was 15 at the time of the incident, stated she reported the encounter to family members after experiencing a panic attack.
A police report from April 24 indicates that an examination at North Fulton Hospital in Georgia did not find evidence of male DNA. Authorities have opened an investigation.
Kroy Biermann, Zolciak-Biermann's ex-husband and KJ's father, was contacted by police in May. Zolciak-Biermann, through a representative, stated that the allegations are "nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling." The statement asserted that KJ "categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged" and claimed he passed a voluntary polygraph. It also noted that an examination found no DNA belonging to her son and raised concerns about similar allegations made against two other individuals.
Zolciak-Biermann also stated that "false accusations" can have severe consequences for the accused and for "genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse." She added, "Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence." The statement concluded by expressing confidence that facts and evidence will establish the truth and requesting that the process be allowed to unfold without the spread of unproven allegations.
KJ is expected to remain in Juvenile Court Detention following his September 1 hearing. Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann, who are undergoing a divorce initiated in 2023, also share twins Kaia and Kane, 12, and Zolciak-Biermann's daughters Brielle, 29, and Arielle, 24, from a previous relationship.
