Kim Zolciak-Biermann is speaking out following the arrest of her 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, on charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. KJ was arrested in Alpharetta, Georgia, on August 19. The allegations stem from an incident on April 23, when a female classmate accused KJ of assaulting her in a gym changing area.
According to court documents, the accuser claims KJ attempted to force himself on her despite her saying no, including pulling down her pants. The alleged victim also accused him of forcing oral sex and digital penetration. She stated that she was able to get away from him, after which he left the scene.
The accuser reported that she did not tell anyone about the alleged assault until the following day at school, where she encountered KJ's girlfriend. She claims she then fled campus to a Starbucks, experiencing a panic attack, before contacting her family. An examination was conducted at North Fulton Hospital, but police reports indicate no evidence of male DNA was found in her mouth or vagina.
In a statement released Friday, Zolciak-Biermann's representative described the allegations as "reckless and deeply troubling." The representative asserted that KJ "categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged." The statement also noted that KJ voluntarily passed a polygraph examination regarding the accusations and that no DNA belonging to him was found during an examination.
The representative raised concerns that the accuser has reportedly made similar allegations against two other individuals, suggesting these claims warrant careful examination. "Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence," the statement read. "At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation."
Zolciak-Biermann and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, have been involved in a contentious divorce since 2023. They share custody of KJ and four other children. Zolciak-Biermann also has two older daughters from a previous relationship.
KJ is currently being held without bond at the Juvenile Court of Fulton County and is scheduled to appear in court on September 1. He is expected to return to Juvenile Court Detention following the hearing.
