Kim Kardashian Shares Reflection on Five Years of Singledom Before Relationship with Lewis Hamilton

Kim Kardashian has spoken about the five years she spent single, describing it as a crucial period for personal healing before she began her current relationship with Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.
The reality television star, 45, indicated that this period of solitude was essential for her to 'completely heal' and focus on her children and personal projects.
"I was really single for five years. And that felt great," Kardashian stated in a recent interview. "I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with. I really felt no rush."
She elaborated, "Like, I really didn’t feel empty. I felt like I needed my time. I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself. I wasn’t ready to open up."
Kardashian's relationship with Hamilton, 41, became public after their appearance at the Super Bowl in February, and they later became Instagram official in June. Prior to this, her most recent public relationship was with comedian Pete Davidson, whom she dated for nine months starting in 2021, following her divorce filing from Kanye West.
Davidson also recently reflected on their relationship, noting the intense media scrutiny that accompanied dating Kardashian. He described the experience as a "tough atmosphere" and acknowledged Kardashian's maturity in handling public attention. He shared that while he found her approach attractive, the constant attention and need for security became overwhelming, particularly given his past struggles with mental health and substance use.
Kardashian and Davidson's relationship concluded in August 2022. Hamilton, who has previously been linked to singer Nicole Scherzinger and actress Sofía Vergara, has known Kardashian for several years.
A source close to Kardashian described Hamilton as "just an easy-going guy with great energy" and stated that her family approves of him. The source added that Kardashian is "very into him" and that their connection is "more than just a casual connection."
