Kim Kardashian Secures Extended Restraining Order Against Stalker

Kim Kardashian has obtained a five-year protective restraining order that now includes her four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The order against Nicholas Costanza was extended by a judge on September 10 and will remain in effect until August 3, 2031.

Kardashian's legal team had requested the extension in July, citing that Costanza's behavior, characterized by "delusional beliefs, anger and obsession," had not changed. Attorneys also claimed that Costanza had violated the previous restraining order by sending messages to Kardashian. According to reports, in one instance in 2024, Costanza trespassed at a home he claimed to have purchased and invited Kardashian and her children to visit.

Costanza was initially arrested in October 2021 for trespassing at Kardashian's Hidden Hills property, despite a restraining order then in place. He was detained by security before police took him into custody. At the time, he was booked on felony charges and ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the reality star. He was held on $150,000 bail.

The initial restraining order was granted in 2021 after Costanza sent a diamond ring and Plan B medication to Kardashian's home. He was also accused of threatening and harassing Kardashian and her family.

This legal action against Costanza is not the only instance of the Kardashian family seeking protection from stalkers. In August, the family was granted a permanent restraining order against an individual described as 'obsessed' with Kylie Jenner. This man, Kyle Robert DeWick, was accused of multiple unwanted visits to Jenner's residence in 2021 before his arrest for trespassing. A temporary restraining order had been issued in May and has since been extended.

In related personal news, Kardashian was recently hospitalized for esophagitis, a condition causing inflammation of the esophagus. The health issue, which can lead to painful swallowing and chest pain, is the same condition that her late father, Robert Kardashian, battled before his death from esophageal cancer at age 59 in 2003. A preview for the upcoming season of "The Kardashians" showed Kardashian in a hospital bed discussing her diagnosis, with her mother, Kris Jenner, expressing emotional distress.
