Kim Kardashian Says She Must Limit Daughter North's Stardom Pursuits

Kim Kardashian has stated that she must moderate her eldest daughter North's involvement in certain projects as the 13-year-old pursues a public career. Kardashian, who shares North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West, expressed worries about the influence of her own intense level of fame on her children.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Kardashian noted that while her younger children sometimes appear while she is filming, they do not actively participate in storylines. North, however, shows a greater inclination towards public-facing endeavors. "North loves it a little bit more than the rest," Kardashian said.

The Skims founder indicated that she has to actively manage the opportunities presented to North, explaining, "All she wants to do is forward-facing projects. And so it’s like us really kind of trying to savor those moments and not doing everything that comes her way, so we can really make sure that we manage it the right way."

Kardashian stated that she and West are in agreement regarding the projects North undertakes. These have included the release of her EP, "N0rth4evr," in May and her appearance on the cover of "Dazed" magazine for its September issue. Kardashian described her parenting style as "intermediate-strict," while also emphasizing patience and love.

She mentioned that a child still sleeps in her bed if they wish and that she reads with her children nightly. Kardashian and West recently supported North at her first solo concert in Chicago, though they maintained separate seating arrangements at the venue.

North's concert followed the cancellation of her 14-date tour with rapper Molly Santana in July, scheduled just days before its commencement. In a separate interview with Dazed magazine, North voiced that the worst advice she had received was to delay the start of her music career.

North West has also drawn attention for her distinctive style, which has included faux piercings and temporary face tattoos. She has defended her choices, contrasting them with behaviors such as "vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff," stating her preference for "blue hair and piercings."
