Kim Kardashian had a gun held to her head during a 2018 trip to Uganda with then-husband Kanye West, according to claims in a new biography.

Jonathan Van Meter, author of "Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future," detailed the alleged incident, which occurred during a trip where Kardashian and West were also meeting with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.

According to Van Meter, Farnaz Farjam, the executive producer of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," stated that West became "paranoid and agitated" while they were filming in Uganda. Farjam recounted that West convinced local police that individuals were trying to drug him, which led to a police presence with guns and a raid on the rooms of those present.

During this alleged raid, "one of the policemen had a gun to Kim's head," Farjam told Van Meter, describing the situation as "intense." Fearing for their safety, Farjam reported that she arranged for a private jet to evacuate her crew.

Farjam later expressed understanding for West's actions, attributing them to his struggles with bipolar disorder and a manic episode.

The biography also touches upon the couple's tumultuous relationship, which began in 2012 and ended with Kardashian filing for divorce in February 2021. Their divorce and joint custody settlement was finalized in November 2022.

This alleged incident in Uganda occurred two years after Kardashian was famously robbed at gunpoint in Paris in October 2016. In that event, she lost approximately $10 million worth of jewelry, including a $4 million engagement ring from West, which has never been recovered. Eight individuals were later found guilty for their roles in the Paris robbery.
