Kim Kardashian's 'All's Fair' Season 2 Premiere in Rome Amidst Critical Scrutiny
The reality star and entrepreneur attended the premiere of the second season of her legal drama 'All's Fair' in Rome, a show that has faced significant critical backlash.
Kim Kardashian made a striking appearance at the "All's Fair" series two premiere in Rome, opting for a vintage 1998 Yves Saint Laurent couture leopard print dress. The event, held at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica, also saw her joined by co-stars Naomi Watts and Sarah Paulson.
Kardashian, who plays divorce lawyer Allura Grant in the series, accessorized her bold dress with a matching chiffon scarf and black heels. The show, created by Ryan Murphy and available on Disney+ and Hulu, centers on an all-female law firm specializing in high-profile settlements for female clients. Series two is set to premiere on November 4.
Naomi Watts, 58, arrived in an elegant black satin dress from Roksanda with a paint-splatter pattern and a dramatic skirt. Sarah Paulson, 51, wore a beaded white gown by Miu Miu. Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, also attended, showcasing the results of a reported $150,000 facelift from the previous year. Jenner wore a custom black scorpion cape, a replica of Elizabeth Taylor's Tiziani Roma cape, which Kim had worn in the show's second season.
Despite the star-studded cast, which also includes Glenn Close and Niecy Nash, "All's Fair" has been met with overwhelmingly negative reviews since its debut. Critics have widely panned the series, with The Times calling it "the worst TV drama ever" and USA Today labeling it "the worst TV show of the year." Kardashian's acting has been a frequent target of criticism, with reviewers like Ben Dowell of The Times stating she is "to acting what Genghis Khan is to a peaceful liberal democracy." Angie Han of The Hollywood Reporter described Kardashian's performance as "stiff and affectless," while Lucy Mangan of The Guardian found the show "fascinatingly, incomprehensibly, existentially terrible."
Kardashian herself has acknowledged the harsh reception, admitting in a recent interview with The Times that she feared she had "ruined" the series upon its initial release. The show initially held a zero percent critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 19/100 on Metacritic. However, despite the critical backlash, "All's Fair" has demonstrated strong viewership figures, with 3.2 million worldwide views in the three days following its November 4 premiere. Hulu announced it was the best-debuting original scripted series on the platform in three years.
Kardashian is actively pursuing an acting career beyond "All's Fair." She recently wrapped filming on the upcoming Netflix comedy "The Fifth Wheel," directed by Eva Longoria, expected to be released in late 2026 or early 2027. She expressed a desire for personal growth and stepping outside her comfort zone, stating, "I don't sing, I don't dance, I don't act, but I am not lazy. I love stepping out of my comfort zone. I want to grow, learn and expand. It keeps me motivated, keeps me inspired."
