Kim Kardashian Recreates Elizabeth Taylor's Iconic Diamond Look for "All's Fair" Season 2
The reality star dons millions in diamonds, channeling Elizabeth Taylor's famed Taylor-Burton piece.
Kim Kardashian is paying tribute to Elizabeth Taylor in diamonds once again. In the trailer for the second season of Hulu's "All's Fair," Kardashian, 45, is seen channeling the iconic actress by recreating one of Taylor's most memorable outfits.
The scene features Kardashian wearing a velvet scorpion cape, reminiscent of one Taylor donned in 1969 for Princess Grace's 40th birthday party in Monaco. This dramatic ensemble is accessorized with jewelry from Leviev, totaling over $2.7 million. The centerpiece is a $1.55 million necklace, the Savona, featuring 44.71 carats of pear-shaped diamonds, including a 14-carat center stone. Complementing the necklace are $1.2 million Aveline drop earrings, adding another 18.08 carats.
This opulent jewelry choice directly references the legendary Taylor-Burton Diamond, a 69.42-carat pear-shaped stone that Elizabeth Taylor famously wore. Taylor was gifted the diamond by her then-husband Richard Burton in 1969, and it was set in a custom necklace.
Taylor's original scorpion cape was a Tiziani Roma creation, worn to a Scorpio-themed party honoring Princess Grace's zodiac sign. She paired the cape with the Taylor-Burton Diamond, which was reportedly flown to the South of France with armed guards for the occasion. The diamond later made a notable appearance at the 1970 Academy Awards.
In her role as divorce lawyer Allura Grant in "All's Fair," Kardashian's character is seen wearing the Leviev Savona necklace and Aveline earrings. The necklace has also recently been worn by Mariah Carey to promote her "Glitter" soundtrack anniversary merchandise.
Kardashian's admiration for Elizabeth Taylor extends beyond this recent portrayal. She previously interviewed Taylor for Harper's Bazaar in 2011 and has worn Taylor's own diamond earrings, a gift from Richard Burton, on the Balenciaga couture runway in July 2025. She also executive produced the docuseries "Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar."
