Kim Kardashian Recounts Paris Robbery, Calls Ring 'Unromantic'
The reality television star described the harrowing experience of being robbed at gunpoint in Paris, revealing details about the stolen engagement ring.
Kim Kardashian has shared a raw, emotional account of the 2016 armed robbery in Paris, during which she was tied up and had millions of dollars worth of jewelry stolen, including a distinctive engagement ring.
In her recollection, Kardashian revealed an "unromantic" detail about the ring, which was a gift from then-husband Kanye West. The ring, valued at approximately $4 million, featured an inscription from West. However, Kardashian stated that the inscription was not a loving message but rather a reference to a Kanye West song that was played during the 2014 proposal.
The day before the Paris incident, Kardashian received a text message indicating a break-in at her Los Angeles home, though this was later determined to be a false alarm. The robbery in Paris occurred while she was staying in a luxury apartment during Paris Fashion Week. Five armed robbers disguised as police officers entered her suite, tied her up, and fled with the jewelry.
Kardashian recounted the terror of the experience, detailing how the intruders demanded her valuables, including the engagement ring. The ordeal left a significant emotional impact on her, prompting her to re-evaluate her personal security and public presence.
