Kim Kardashian Recounts Final Heartbreaking Conversation With Father Robert Kardashian

Kim Kardashian has shared the details of her final conversation with her late father, Robert Kardashian, just hours before he passed away.

In her new authorized biography, "Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future," Kardashian recounted her father's last words to her. "The last thing my dad ever said to me was, 'I know you’re going to be good – I can see it. It’s as if I can see what your whole life is going to be like,'" she wrote.

Robert Kardashian, a respected attorney known for his role in the O.J. Simpson murder case, died of esophageal cancer in July 2003 at the age of 59. He is survived by his daughters Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe, as well as his son Rob.

Kardashian described the moment, recalling that her father, who was in and out of consciousness, put his hand on her leg. "He said, 'You’ll be fine. But take care of the other ones. And make sure your brother’s good,'" she shared. "I’ll never forget it."

She also detailed the last time she saw him. Lying next to him on a couch, Kardashian told her father, "Dad, thank you so much for everything that you’ve taught me, from how to be a good person, to how you did my homework with me, everything I’m going to do with my kids one day. And I’m going to take the lesson of you being in my life and carry that forward."

Kardashian explained that after a pastor suggested family members say their goodbyes, she left her father's home. "And that’s exactly what we did, and that’s exactly what happened. I left his house and drove straight to [singer] Brandy [Norwood’s] house – so, thirty minutes. And I remember I was on Brandy’s bed and I got the phone call and I knew."

In February, Kardashian honored her father on what would have been his 82nd birthday, sharing a home movie of him skiing with his family in 1995. She captioned the post, "Happy Birthday dad. I miss you so much every day."

The biography, penned by Jonathan Van Meter over five years with Kardashian's consent, was released on Tuesday.
