Kim Kardashian Employs Five Nannies for Her Four Children
The reality star and businesswoman detailed her childcare arrangements in a recent interview.
Kim Kardashian has revealed that she utilizes the services of five nannies to assist with raising her four children with ex-husband Kanye West. The children are North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7.
In an interview with The Sunday Times’ Style Magazine, Kardashian explained that she maintains a rotation of nannies to provide support when her children are in her care. Despite the extensive help, the Skims founder emphasized her personal involvement in her children's daily routines, stating that she personally handles school drop-offs and pick-ups. She also makes a point of having dinner with her children every night.
Kardashian described her parenting style as "intermediate-strict," characterized by patience and love. She noted that one of her children still occasionally sleeps in her bed and that she reads with them nightly.
Regarding co-parenting with West, Kardashian indicated that they maintain communication, particularly concerning their eldest daughter North's burgeoning music career. She stated that they ensure they are aligned on projects North undertakes and that both parents approve.
Kardashian, who finalized her divorce from West in 2022, has previously spoken about the challenges of raising her children. In a 2024 appearance on the "What’s in the Winkler" podcast, she admitted to feeling "alone" at times in the parenting process, even with support systems in place.
She acknowledged that her extensive resources for childcare can lead to public perception that her struggles are less significant. "People will always jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,’" she said.
Kardashian has been actively building her business ventures, including her shapewear line Skims, launched in 2019. She has also pursued legal studies and is working towards passing the bar exam. Additionally, she has expanded into acting, with a role in Ryan Murphy's upcoming series "All’s Fair."
