Kim Kardashian Claims Gun Was Held to Her Head During 2018 Africa Trip

Kim Kardashian reportedly experienced a terrifying incident in 2018 when a gun was held to her head during a trip to Africa with then-husband Kanye West, according to biographer Jonathan Van Meter.

In his new book, "Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future," Van Meter recounts an alleged event in Uganda where West became agitated and paranoid, believing individuals were attempting to drug him. According to the book, West enlisted local police, who then initiated room raids.

Farnaz Farjam, executive producer of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," is quoted in the book stating that West "basically got the local police to believe that there were people trying to drug him, and so they came and they had guns out. He had them raid everybody’s rooms."

Van Meter writes that during the incident, "one of the policemen had a gun to Kim’s head," an event Farjam described as "intense." Farjam reportedly arranged for a private jet to evacuate her crew.

Van Meter's book notes that Farjam later attributed West's behavior to his struggles with bipolar disorder, stating she "forgave Kanye for the Africa fiasco ‘because he lives with bipolar disorder, and he was in a manic place.'"

Kardashian and West were married in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2022. They share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Kardashian has spoken about the challenges of co-parenting with West, describing it as a "big burden" while expressing her continued concern for his well-being.
