Kim Kardashian Channels Cruella de Vil for 'All's Fair' Photocall in Rome
The reality star sported a daring polka dot gown alongside dalmatians, promoting the second season of the Hulu legal drama.
Kim Kardashian continued her promotional tour for the Hulu legal drama 'All's Fair' in Rome, attending a rooftop photocall for the series' second season. The reality star and executive producer embraced a bold fashion statement, channeling Cruella de Vil in a polka dot bridal couture gown by Galia Lahav. She was accompanied by two dalmatian dogs for the event.
Kardashian's strapless corset gown featured a dramatic skirt and a cut-out section at the hips. Styled by Law Roach, she opted to forego jewelry and pulled her dark hair back into a high ponytail, allowing the outfit to command attention. She completed the look with Jimmy Choo heels.
The 'All's Fair' photocall also saw the attendance of co-stars Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, and Naomi Watts. For a previous promotional event, Kardashian wore a vintage Yves Saint Laurent leopard print dress from 1998, suggesting animal print has been a theme for her appearances.
The series, created by Ryan Murphy, is set at a Los Angeles firm that specializes in securing large settlements for its female clients. Kim Kardashian plays the role of Allura Grant. The show also features Glenn Close and Niecy Nash.
Despite its star-studded cast and significant promotion, 'All's Fair' initially faced harsh criticism upon its release. Reviewers described the show as a "crime against television," with some giving it zero or negative star ratings. Critic Christopher Stevens of the Daily Mail called it "the most skin-crawling, toe-twisting, teeth-grinding, gut-squelching shovelful of TV ordure I’ve ever had dumped on my desk." Ben Dowell of The Times declared it "the worst TV drama ever," and Kelly Lawler of USA Today labeled it "the worst TV show of the year."
Kardashian herself acknowledged the negative reception, admitting in an interview with The Times that she feared she had "ruined" the series upon its debut. The show initially garnered a 0% critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 19/100 on Metacritic. While accustomed to public scrutiny, Kardashian expressed concern about how the criticism might affect her co-stars. However, she noted that her castmates were supportive, and they found enjoyment in filming.
"We thought we were a bit more serious last year, but the audiences thought we were really comical, so we've leant into that," Kardashian stated, referencing the show's second season.
Despite the critical reviews, 'All's Fair' achieved considerable viewership. Its debut logged 3.2 million worldwide views in the three days following its November 4 premiere, with Hulu announcing it as the best start for an original scripted series on the platform in three years. Season two is set to be released on November 4.
Kardashian is continuing to pursue acting opportunities, having recently completed filming for the upcoming Netflix comedy "The Fifth Wheel," directed by Eva Longoria. Expected to premiere later this year or in early 2027, the film marks another step in her expanding acting career. She told The Times, "I don't sing, I don't dance, I don't act, but I am not lazy. I love stepping out of my comfort zone. I want to grow, learn and expand. It keeps me motivated, keeps me inspired."
