A Paris court has awarded Kim Kardashian 1 euro (approximately $1.15) in compensation for an armed robbery in the French capital in 2016, the amount of damages she had requested. The decision comes as Kardashian has sought to move forward from the incident, which she described as the "most terrifying experience of my life."

Kardashian and her stylist, Simone Harouche, who was present during the robbery, expressed gratitude to the French justice system in a joint statement. "The experience was deeply traumatic, and its impact has stayed with us," the statement read. "Today’s decision is not about the compensation, but about accountability and recognition. We are thankful to the Court and everyone who supported us throughout this process, and we hope to now move forward and continue to heal."

In October 2016, during Paris Fashion Week, a gang of robbers disguised as police officers forced their way into Kardashian's luxury apartment. They bound her with zip ties and tape and stole more than $6 million worth of jewelry, including a significant diamond ring. The perpetrators, some of whom were in their 60s and 70s at the time and became known as "les papys braqueurs" (the grandpa robbers), were found guilty of armed robbery, kidnapping, and other charges in a separate court proceeding last year.

Eight individuals were convicted for their roles in the heist. Those found guilty did not return to prison, as they had already served time in pretrial detention, and none appealed the verdict. Kardashian had previously issued a statement after their conviction, expressing her gratitude to French authorities for pursuing justice and her belief in "the power of growth and accountability."

The court also awarded 1 euro to Harouche. The Hôtel de Pourtalès, where Kardashian was staying, was awarded 50,000 euros ($57,741). A former receptionist at the hotel, who had sought 550,000 euros ($634,868) in damages, was awarded 109,516 euros ($126,472) for trauma experienced during the robbery.
