Kim Kardashian Attends Singapore Grand Prix, F1 Commentator Makes Nod to Past Interview Snub
The reality television star was seen cheering on boyfriend Lewis Hamilton amidst a rain-delayed sprint race, prompting a lighthearted comment from Martin Brundle.
Kim Kardashian arrived at the Singapore Grand Prix on Saturday to support her boyfriend, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton. Her appearance at the Marina Bay Street Circuit came as the sprint race was delayed due to torrential rain.
While making her way through the paddock, Kardashian, 45, wore a pink maxi dress and dark sunglasses. She was accompanied by a friend and a security team member. Fans were seen taking photographs of her as she navigated the circuit. On screen, Sky Sports commentator Martin Brundle made a jest referencing a previous incident, stating, "I did try once." This was a callback to the Monaco Grand Prix in June, where Kardashian and her sister Khloe reportedly ignored his interview attempts, drawing criticism from some viewers.
Kardashian and Hamilton reportedly began dating around February of this year and have since made their relationship public on social media. Hamilton competed in the Singapore Grand Prix sprint race, finishing second behind Max Verstappen. The course, which was introduced to Formula 1 in 2008, is known for its night racing format.
The sprint race was delayed by heavy rainfall, with marshals working to clear standing water from the track. Despite the weather, Kardashian was observed in the Ferrari team's garage. Hamilton currently holds third place in the driver's championship, driving for Ferrari.
Kardashian has previously spoken about taking five years to focus on herself and her children after her divorce from Kanye West before entering a new relationship. Her past public romance was with comedian Pete Davidson, which ended in August 2022. Davidson has since commented on the intense scrutiny that accompanied their relationship, noting Kardashian's maturity in handling such attention.
