Kieran Hayler Describes Finding Drugs at Katie Price's Home Amid Trial

Katie Price's ex-husband, Kieran Hayler, has testified in court about discovering cocaine and empty bottles at her home, which he referred to as 'Mucky Mansion,' following their separation. Hayler, 39, is currently on trial at Lewes Crown Court, facing accusations of raping and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old schoolgirl in 2016, charges he denies.

Giving evidence, Hayler described the state of the family home where he continued to live for two months after the breakup. "I was coming down in the morning to carnage," he told the court. "There were drugs on the side. Cocaine on the worktops. Drugs everywhere and alcohol. The house was in an absolute state."

When questioned by the defense, Hayler acknowledged that his split from Price was not amicable and stated he had never had prior contact with the police.

Hayler is accused of three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, which allegedly occurred in West Sussex in 2016. He denies all charges.

Katie Price, 48, also gave evidence earlier in the week. She stated that she had not read media reports about Hayler's trial because she was occupied with filming a Channel 4 show where she was "handcuffed to Suella Braverman all week."

The court previously heard that Hayler believes his former wife may have fabricated the allegations as part of a campaign against him.

The investigation began in 2021 after the alleged victim contacted the NSPCC, which then referred the matter to the police. Hayler was first interviewed in January 2022, where he denied all allegations.

Last Tuesday, the complainant testified that Hayler sent her a text message after the third alleged rape saying, "I love you goodnight," to which she replied, "I love you too."

During the trial's opening last Monday, it was stated that Hayler would claim Price made up the allegations following the breakdown of their marriage.

The alleged victim's mother told jurors last week that her daughter had found Hayler engaging, noting that he told her he didn't have friends and that she could be his best friend.

When asked why she did not report the alleged rape incidents until after Price contacted social services in 2018, the mother explained, "I had to keep her secret and her trust. I couldn't tell my husband because I knew what the consequences would be. I didn't want any of this for her." She also denied being influenced by Price and stated her daughter was not interested in celebrity.

Text messages presented to the court showed that in May 2017, Price asked the alleged victim about rumors concerning Hayler. The girl, then 14, replied that it was "just a flirt thing" and that "Nothing happened," although she did not recall the exchange. Price responded, "I won't bring up any more, just want truth. I will make you a little star."

In a previous cross-examination, Price described the phrase "little star" as a figure of speech, stating there was "no agenda or nothing behind it" when used in relation to a 13-year-old. The alleged victim's mother, however, told the court her daughter was not interested in becoming a star.

Hayler and Price were married from 2013 until their separation in 2018; they divorced three years later. Sussex Police confirmed Hayler's charges, stating the alleged offenses occurred between June and October 2016. The girl cannot be named for legal reasons and is receiving support from trained officers.

A spokesperson for Hayler has stated that he "strongly denies the allegations made against him in their entirety" and is cooperating fully with the police investigation.

The trial at Lewes Crown Court is ongoing.
