Khloe Kardashian Has Not Had Sex in Over Four Years
The reality star revealed her celibacy and discussed her hesitation to date again in a recent episode of 'The Kardashians.'
Khloe Kardashian has revealed that she has not engaged in sexual activity for over four years and expressed no immediate desire to re-enter the dating scene. The mother of two, aged 42, has not been in a relationship since her on-again, off-again partnership with Tristan Thompson, the father of her children, concluded in December 2021.
During the premiere episode of the family's reality series, "The Kardashians," Kardashian shared with her friend, hairstylist Chris Appleton, that she is proud of her decision to take her time in moving on from the relationship. The conversation, filmed during a September 2025 trip to New York, saw Appleton inquire about Kardashian's dating life, prompting her older sister Kim to remain tight-lipped about her own relationship with Lewis Hamilton.
Appleton then turned his attention to Kardashian, asking about the duration of her abstinence. "Nope. December four years," Kardashian stated. In a confessional segment, she remarked that Appleton is consistently surprised by her lack of sexual activity, humorously adding that he discusses it as if she has leprosy.
Kim Kardashian suggested to her sister that she might consider reconciling with an ex-boyfriend, a practice she referred to as "recycling." However, Khloe Kardashian expressed a strong aversion to this idea, describing her past relationships as being at the "bottom of the barrel" and not something she would revisit.
Appleton voiced concern for Kardashian, leading Kris Jenner to suggest that Appleton himself could be intimate with Khloe. Kardashian, however, was not receptive to the idea, clarifying that this was not what she was seeking. She explained that after a certain period without sexual activity, the desire diminishes. Jenner commented that most people would have more romantic encounters than Khloe, given her situation.
Kardashian elaborated on her approach to dating, stating in a confessional that while she could engage in casual sex, it's not something she desires. She admitted to feeling apprehensive about dating, feeling a strong reluctance. Reflecting on 2022, she described herself as being in a "darker," sadder place, attributing it to her difficulties with Tristan Thompson.
She indicated that she has undergone significant positive changes and is proud of her healing process. Kardashian emphasized that she has avoided revisiting past relationships or engaging with individuals who are not beneficial to her life, and feels good about these choices. She stated that while the ultimate goal for many is to find a lifelong partner, she is not inclined to force such a connection.
Kardashian's relationship with basketball player Tristan Thompson spanned from 2016 to 2021. Their final separation occurred after the revelation that Thompson had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols in December 2021. Kardashian was previously married to NBA star Lamar Odom, a marriage that lasted approximately seven years until their divorce was finalized in 2016 amidst allegations of infidelity.
