Khalil Mack Admits to 'Blanking Out' Coach Harbaugh After Raiders Loss
The Chargers linebacker expressed frustration with the team's winless start.
Los Angeles Chargers star linebacker Khalil Mack admitted he "blanked out" during head coach Jim Harbaugh's locker room speech following the team's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chargers have now fallen to 0-2 on the season.
"Honestly, I blanked out the whole time," Mack told ESPN's Kris Rhim when asked about Harbaugh's message. "I don’t really know. My mind was on the game still, but I feel like it had something to do with picking up the pieces and getting this thing right."
Mack also expressed his personal frustration with the team's early-season struggles, stating he was "pissed" about how the season has started. Despite the rough beginning, the veteran player voiced confidence that the Chargers will eventually turn their performance around.
While Mack's statement suggests his disconnection was a result of his own frustration rather than a direct dismissal of Harbaugh's words, it raises concerns. As a team captain and a respected player, Mack's mindset is seen as crucial to the team's morale and performance.
The Chargers' 0-2 start marks a difficult beginning to the season, and the team now faces the challenge of converting Mack's confidence into tangible results on the field.
