Kevin Federline Sued for Over $117,000 in Credit Card Debt

Kevin Federline is facing legal action from City National Bank over an outstanding debt totaling $117,704. The debt encompasses a credit card, a line of credit, and an overdraft line, according to documents obtained by Page Six. Federline entered into an agreement with the bank in late November 2024, around the same time his final child support payments from Britney Spears were due.

Federline had been receiving $40,000 per month in child support from Spears while raising their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Following Sean Preston's 18th birthday, the payments were reduced to $20,000 monthly and continued until Jayden James graduated from high school. In his memoir, Federline stated that these funds were intended to cover security costs and maintain a lifestyle comparable to what the children experienced with Spears, a cost he claimed exceeded $40,000 monthly.

The lawsuit indicates that Federline's credit card debt was to be repaid by August 2026, his personal line of credit by June 2025, and his overdraft line by April 2025. In addition to the principal debt, the bank is seeking accrued interest, which is set at 20.5% for the credit card, 7.5% for the line of credit, and 18% for the overdraft line. City National Bank asserts that it fulfilled its obligations and is now seeking Federline to do the same.

Federline and Spears met in early 2004, became engaged in July of the same year, and married in September. Spears filed for divorce in November 2026, with the divorce finalized in July 2007. Federline has since married Victoria Prince in 2013.
