Kevin Federline Admitted to Spending Britney Spears' Child Support on Lavish Lifestyle

Kevin Federline has admitted to spending the entirety of the child support he received from Britney Spears, amounting to $40,000 per month, to maintain a lavish lifestyle for their two sons. This admission comes as Federline faces a new lawsuit over a six-figure credit card bill.

Following their divorce in 2007, Federline received $20,000 monthly for Sean Preston and Jayden James. This amount reportedly increased to $40,000 a decade later when his custodial time with the children grew, before decreasing again when their eldest son turned 18 in 2023.

In his 2025 memoir, "You Thought You Knew," Federline detailed how the money was spent almost immediately, stating it "didn’t stretch as far as" one might assume. He explained that the costs associated with security for the boys in Los Angeles, combined with efforts to provide them with the "lifestyle" they were accustomed to, quickly exceeded the monthly payment.

Federline denied living extravagantly off Spears' money, asserting he was actively working to build a stable future for his children. He also has two children each with ex Shar Jackson and his current wife, Victoria Prince.

Federline stopped receiving child support payments from Spears in November 2024. Court documents reveal he is now being sued by a bank for at least $117,704, which includes charges on a credit card, a line of credit, and an overdraft line, with interest rates ranging from 7.5% to 20.5%.

This lawsuit follows a separate case in February where Bank of America sued Federline for $12,186.64. However, that lawsuit was dismissed in June after Federline reportedly paid the debt.

Federline's attorney has not yet responded to requests for comment.
