Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner Share Awkward Encounter at Son's Volleyball Game
The former couple, whose divorce was finalized earlier this year, were both present at their son Cayden's beach volleyball match.
Kevin Costner and his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner had a brief encounter on Tuesday at their son Cayden's beach volleyball game in Santa Barbara. The pair, who share three children, attended the event separately and did not appear to interact. Costner, 71, arrived in a white t-shirt and jeans, while Baumgartner, 52, wore a green t-shirt and white jeans. The former couple's divorce was finalized in February 2024, following a contentious battle over finances.
During the divorce proceedings, it was revealed that Baumgartner had initially sought $248,000 per month in child support, citing the children's accustomed lifestyle, which included private plane travel, luxurious accommodations, and significant household expenses. Court filings indicated Costner earned over $19 million in 2022, with family expenses totaling over $6 million. Ultimately, Costner was ordered to pay $63,209 in monthly child support for their three children and a lump sum of $1.5 million to Baumgartner.
Baumgartner has since remarried, tying the knot with Josh Connor in October. Meanwhile, Costner has been photographed with a younger female companion, identified as a lifestyle coach 31 years his junior, leading to fresh speculation about his current relationship status. The pair were reportedly affectionate during a recent grocery store outing.
